New Jersey Artificial Reefs

A reef ball being made.  Did you know that in New jersey the concrete reef balls are made by prison inmates?

A reef ball underwater on the Carlson reef.  They are usually covered by soft coral marine growth within a few months.  They are most times found 20-40ft apart and strewn over a large reef area, making drift fishing the best way to catch fish off them.
