Message #110 1) Coastal Reef Builders is constructing this week 20 "Reefball" slabs consisting of 6 Bay Balls each embeded in concrete with various complexity enhancments built into each slab. They will be deployed Oct. 15-16 in Sarasota Bay. 2) Dr. Richard Spieler plans on using 80-160 Pallet Balls for a large scale scientific experiment with various treatments looking at corals and impacts on fish. 3) Reef Ball and Reef Ball Foundation staff will be traveling to San Remo, Italy for the next two weeks to attend the International Artificial Reef conference. Direct inquiries during this period to Jay Jorgensen at Reef Ball Headquarters to track down traveling staff if needed. 4) Reef Ball Foundation, Inc. has just completed a new Video Brochure to be unveiled at the San Remo Artificial Reef Conference. It will be available for distribution by the 3rd week in October. Limited advance copies are available by contacting the Reef Ball Offices. This is a fairly comprehensive and high quality tape with 30 minutes of total footage. This tape represents the best way to fully understand all the workings of the various companies, organizations and volunteers that make up the "Reef Ball Family." Have a great day
